Beneath the imposing Luna Castle, the border town of Alburquerque hosts a half marathon with nearly 20 editions behind it, organised by the municipal sports board and AD Alburquerque.
Course
Start and finish are on Paseo de la Alameda. The course is mixed, combining asphalt and dirt tracks, and passes the town’s main sights. It is certified by the Extremadura Athletics Federation. Aid stations are at about km 7, 11, 14 and 18, plus the finish.
