The Carabanchel Half Marathon is the big race of this Madrid district. The sixth edition was run on Sunday 24 May 2026 at 8:30, and the 2027 edition is expected in May again.
Course
Start and finish are at the Puente de Toledo, in the Madrid Río park along the Manzanares. The course is certified by the Spanish athletics federation and crosses the district end to end: Carabanchel Bajo, the historic centre, Carabanchel Alto and the newer PAU neighbourhood.
Good to know
- Distances: 21K and 10K, sharing the same start.
- Start time: 8:30, early enough to beat the late-May heat.
- Take metro line 5 to Marqués de Vadillo or Pirámides.
