The Gandía Half Marathon (Mitja Marató Ciutat de Gandía) has reached its 31st edition, which starts at 9:30 on Sunday 8 November 2026. It is run by Club de Córrer El Garbí, which expects about 2,500 runners. The start is on the Passeig Marítim Neptú, a few metres from the sand.
The course
The 21,097.5 m route is flat and urban, certified by the Spanish athletics federation, and runs in a single loop. It stays close to the sea along Gandía’s maritime district, then turns inland through the Marjal de Gandia, a protected wetland reserve that most half marathons simply don’t have. The last part takes in the old town, including the streets tied to the Borja family, the Renaissance dukes of Gandía.
Water is handed out at km 5, 10, 15 and 18, and again at the finish. The kilometres are marked, and there are changing rooms, showers and a runner’s bag afterwards.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions: Gandía Half Marathon
When and where does the Gandía Half Marathon start?
The 31st edition starts at 9:30 on Sunday 8 November 2026 on the Passeig Marítim Neptú, the seafront promenade at Gandía beach.
How long do I have to finish?
The regulations give 2 hours 30 minutes. From km 10 the course closes behind runners slower than 7:07 per km, and a sweep vehicle follows the last runner. Some press notes mention 2:45, so treat 2:30 as the safe figure.
How much does it cost and until when can I enter?
The current rate (1 September to 4 November) is €29, plus €1 for the one-day licence. Earlier tiers were €19, €23 and €27. Entries close on Wednesday 4 November at midnight, if bibs are still available.
Where do I pick up my bib?
On Friday 6 November from 17:30 to 20:00 or Saturday 7 November from 10:00 to 13:30 and 17:30 to 20:00. Race-morning pickup (7:30 to 8:50) is only for runners who live 30 km or more from Gandía. Bring your ID.
Is the Gandía course fast?
Yes. It is flat, urban and certified by the Spanish athletics federation, which is why the organisers pitch it at first-timers and runners chasing a personal best.
