The Costa de la Luz Half Marathon connects two seaside towns on the northern Cádiz coast. It starts on Avenida de la Constitución in Chipiona and finishes at the Castillo de Luna in Rota. The two councils share the organisation, with technical support from local athletics clubs. It has been running for almost four decades.
Course
The route follows the coast between the two towns. It is fast, but open to the Atlantic wind: a tailwind can make for a quick day, a headwind can make it a grind. The course is certified by the Spanish Athletics Federation.
