Toro, on a bluff above the Duero river, is best known for its robust red wines. Its young half marathon is organised by CD Trail Run Sport Toro and the town council.
Course
The race traditionally starts from the town’s bullring (coso taurino) and runs on asphalt over a 21.097 km route officiated by the Castilla y León Athletics Federation. Aid stations are at about km 5, 10 and 16, plus the finish.

- Typical date: a Sunday in late January. The 2027 date has not been announced yet.
- Time limit: 2 hours 30 minutes.
- Trophies for the top three in each category.
- January on the Castilian plateau is cold and can be foggy. Gloves are a good idea.
