The Media Maratón El Puerto is the youngest half marathon on this calendar, and it is changing seasons. After its first edition in 2025 and a second on 24 May 2026, the third edition will run at 9:00 on Sunday 31 January 2027, with a 10K added for the first time. The organiser is Runnink, working with the El Puerto de Santa María council and the Cádiz provincial council.
What the last edition showed
The May 2026 race drew 2,150 runners, starting at 8:30 from the El Paseo shopping centre. Pedro Garrido (Runchip Jerez Catunambú) won in 1:10:36 and Irene Peinado of the same club in 1:30:10. That course left the shopping centre and spread across the city: Avenida Rey Felipe VI, the historic centre, Avenida de Fuentebravía, Vistahermosa, Puerto Sherry, Avenida de Menesteo and Avenida de Sanlúcar.
For 2027 the organisers say about 90% of the route stays the same, with fewer turns, wider avenues and a more fluid circuit. Start and finish stay on the N-IV beside El Paseo.
