Few races feel as special as Os 21 do Camiño: 21 km along one of the best-known stages of the Camino de Santiago, from Palas de Rei to Melide in Lugo province. The 2027 edition is confirmed for Saturday 19 June 2027.
Course
The route mixes dirt paths and asphalt through oak woods, stone villages and medieval bridges, following the pilgrims’ yellow arrows. It is hilly, with plenty of short climbs, and runners consistently rate it one of the most beautiful races in Galicia. Folk groups with gaitas (Galician bagpipes) play along the way.

- Time limit: 3 hours.
- Places: limited to about 750.
- Cash prizes for overall winners, plus a bonus for breaking the course record.
- Try the famous pulpo in Melide after the finish.
- June on the Camino is busy with pilgrims, so book accommodation early.
