One of the newest half marathons in Cádiz province, the Arcos de la Frontera Half Marathon is organised by the town council and draws runners from across the province. Arcos itself is one of the most striking of Andalusia’s pueblos blancos, perched on a cliff above the Guadalete river.
Course
The race starts at the Jédula sports centre and uses a certified 21.097 km route. Aid stations are at about km 5, 10 and 15, plus the finish. Pacers have run groups from 1:25 to 1:50, which is unusual for a race of this size.
