LA21 Media Maratón de Vigo is the city’s big autumn road race. The 28th edition is on Sunday 15 November 2026, with the half marathon starting at 10:00 and the 10K (“Los 10.000 de Alejandro Gómez”) at 11:00. It is organised by Diesemm Events & Management and has a hard cap of 1,300 places for the half.
From O Vao to the Náutico
The certified 21,097 m course starts on the Estrada do Vao, next to the football ground in Coruxo at the southern end of the bay. From there it follows the Atlantic edge of the city: Samil, Alcabre, Bouzas and the tunnels along the Orillamar waterfront, into the centre, finishing in front of the pool at the Real Club Náutico de Vigo. The 10K starts separately at Samil and shares the finish.
Because the half starts in the south and ends in the centre, you run along the Ría de Vigo for most of the way. Kilometres are marked vertically, and timing comes from the Galician athletics federation.
