· 09:00
- Sunday 13 December 2026, 9:00, Paseo de las Delicias
- Moved from January to 29 November, then to 13 December (general election)
- Sold out: record 22,000 runners
- No bibs on race day: collect them at the expo
For years the Medio Maratón de Sevilla was a January fixture. In 2026 it moves to Sunday 13 December, after the organisers and the city council postponed it from 29 November to avoid the general election called for that day. Your entry and bib stay valid. Demand is high: the 32nd edition has sold out with a record 22,000 runners, and there’s a waiting list. It’s promoted by Medio Maratón de Sevilla Create with the Club de Atletismo San Pablo, the club that founded the race.
The race
- Start and finish: Paseo de las Delicias, by the Guadalquivir.
- Start: 9:00, in waves. Wheelchairs, the elite pen and pen 1 go first. Pen times will be set once the final entry numbers are known.
- Limit: 3 hours, with the finish closing at 12:10.
- Course: 21.097 km on asphalt and paved streets, certified by the RFEA and World Athletics.
In January 2026 the course was a single, fast loop with only about 26 m of climbing. It ran along the river, crossed to the other bank and came back through the city centre. Check the 2026 course map on the official site in case of changes.
Bibs only at the expo
The runners’ expo is at the Pabellón de Deportes de San Pablo. It was announced for 27–28 November, so check the official site for the new expo dates before you travel. The entrance is on Avenida de Kansas City, not Calle Dr. Laffon Soto, and TUSSAM bus lines 2 and 20 stop nearby. No bibs are handed out on race day. Bring your payment confirmation email and ID, or a signed authorisation and a copy of the runner’s ID if collecting for someone else.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions: Seville Half Marathon
When is the Seville Half Marathon in 2026?
Sunday 13 December 2026 at 9:00, from Paseo de las Delicias. It was first moved from January to 29 November, then postponed two weeks because the general election was called for 29 November. The previous edition was on 25 January 2026.
Is the Seville Half Marathon sold out?
Yes, all 22,000 places have gone. The only way in now is the waiting list on the official website, because entries are personal and can’t be transferred to another runner.
Can I cancel my entry and get my money back?
The original deadline was 1 November 2026, so check the official rules after the date change. If you paid the optional €4 cancellation guarantee you get a full refund; without it, you get half back. After 1 November there are no refunds.
What is the time limit?
3 hours, which works out at roughly 8:30 per kilometre. The finish closes at 12:10.
Where are the drinks stations?
At km 5, 10, 15 and 18.5, plus the finish. Isotonic drink is available at km 10.
Is Seville a fast course?
It has a reputation as one of Spain’s quickest. The January 2026 course had only about 26 m of climbing and is certified by World Athletics. Prize money for the top three is only paid for times under 65 minutes for men and 75 minutes for women, which gives an idea of the level at the front.
