The Marató del Mediterrani in Castelldefels has been a springtime fixture since 2005, when its first edition drew more than 4,000 runners. The 2027 race is the 22nd edition and takes place on Sunday 25 April 2027.
The course
Everything starts and finishes at the Canal Olímpic de Catalunya, the 1992 Olympic rowing venue. The 10K and 21K circuits are certified by the Catalan athletics federation. The 21 km route does a first lap like the 10K, with an out-and-back along the seafront towards Barcelona, then a second lap that extends the coast section to Gavà. We haven’t found an official elevation profile, but the course runs along the canal and the coast.
Entries and logistics
- Half marathon price: €24 from 1 January to 31 March, €25 from 1 to 21 April (for Championchip yellow chip holders; +€3 to rent a chip).
- Registration: closes on Wednesday 21 April at 23:59.
- Pens: assigned by Championchip times, and you can ask for a change at the fair with a better time from an approved race.
- Bib pick-up: at the Ànecblau shopping centre in Castelldefels. The organisers’ page still shows 2026 days, so check the 2027 schedule, because 25 April is race day itself.
- Organiser: Zona Vip Events, with Castelldefels city council.
