Aragon’s capital hosts one of the best-organised city half marathons in northern Spain. The 2027 edition is confirmed for Sunday 14 March 2027 at 9:00, with a 5K on the same morning.
Course
The start is on Paseo Echegaray, beside the Ebro. The route covers Zaragoza’s main avenues, both riverbanks and the historic centre around the Basilica del Pilar. The city is largely flat, and with around 3,000 runners you will rarely be running alone.
Good to know
- Pacers: eight groups covering finishing times from about 1:24 to 2:00.
- Aid stations: km 5, 10 and 15, plus the finish.
- Time limit: 2 hours 30 minutes.
- Cash prizes for overall winners, with a bonus for breaking the course record.
- Zaragoza’s cierzo, a cold north-westerly wind, can blow hard in March. Check the forecast and draft in a group if it’s up.
