The Mitja Marató de la Calderona is a winter mountain race in the Serra Calderona natural park north-west of Valencia. The 12th edition is on Sunday 28 February 2027, with the start at 7:00 from the Plaça de la Font in Serra. The half marathon is 21 km with 1,150 m of climbing, and a 42 km marathon with 2,450 m runs the same day. It is organised by Top Run.
Mountain trails, not tarmac
The route crosses three municipalities, Serra, Segart and Estivella, along technical trails and forest tracks in the Sierra Calderona. It starts and finishes in Serra’s main square. With over 1,000 m of climbing in 21 km, a half-marathon road pace doesn’t apply: plan on a pack with spare layers and a start in the dark.
The field and the deadline
Places are strictly capped at 340 runners. The 21K has sold out in earlier editions (it did in 2024), so the early bibs go first. Entry starts at €32 and registration ends on 1 February 2027. The commemorative shirt is promised only to those who sign up before that date.
