Vig-Bay Half Marathon (Vigo–Baiona) 2027
- Confirmed for Sunday 11 April 2027
- Point-to-point from Vigo (Samil) to Baiona
- Atlantic coastal views all the way
- Around 3,500 bibs
The Vig-Bay is a Galician institution: 21 km from Vigo to Baiona along the Atlantic coast of the Rías Baixas, with around 25 editions behind it. The 2027 edition is confirmed for Sunday 11 April 2027, and the MiniBay race returns the same weekend.
Course
The start is on Avenida de Samil by Vigo’s best-known beach, and the finish is in the historic port town of Baiona, where the replica of the caravel Pinta is moored. The route is certified by the Spanish Athletics Federation. It’s mostly coastal road with some gentle rolling sections, and the sea is in view most of the way.
Good to know
- Field: around 3,500 places.
- Point-to-point, so plan how you’ll get back to Vigo (organiser buses have been available in past editions).
- Trophies for the top three men and women in each category.
- Wind direction makes a big difference. A southerly headwind makes it much harder.
