Beneath its hilltop castle, Xàtiva hosts a quick half marathon, billed locally as La Mitja de Xàtiva, organised by Club Atletisme Ajos with the town council. The 2027 edition is confirmed for Sunday 28 February 2027.
Course
Start and finish are on the tree-lined Albereda Jaume I, and the route loops through the town’s main streets. Aid stations are at km 5, 10 and 15, plus the finish.
Good to know
- Time limit: 2 hours 20 minutes, fairly tight (about 6:38/km).
- Around 1,000 runners.
- A €1,000 bonus is offered for breaking the course record of 1:04:57.
- Xàtiva is 45 minutes from Valencia by train. Walk up to the castle after the race if your legs allow.
