Melilla’s half marathon is one of the most affordable on the calendar and one of the flattest. The 14th Media Maratón “Melilla, Ciudad del Deporte” takes place on Sunday 15 November 2026. It is run by the city’s sports department with the Melilla athletics federation, and the programme starts at 9:30.
Two laps, no climbs
The half marathon is a two-lap urban circuit of roughly 10.5 km, certified by the national athletics federation for both the half and the 10K. Last year’s route began on Avenida Juan Carlos I and ended in Plaza de España, and the organiser’s own figure for the maximum elevation change was 8 metres. Two laps also mean you know the second half before you start it.
