La Palma Half Marathon 2027

The Media Maratón La Palma is the early-season half marathon of the island of La Palma, on the western Canary Islands. The 9th edition took place on Sunday 1 February 2026 at 10:30. It’s organised by the councils of Santa Cruz de La Palma, Breña Baja and Breña Alta with the event company Fitters. The 2027 date hasn’t been announced, so our calendar only shows an estimate.

From the capital to Los Cancajos

The race starts on the Avenida Marítima in Santa Cruz de La Palma and passes the capital’s emblematic streets and its architecture, along the wide avenues of the bay. It then heads south to Los Cancajos, the island’s main tourist area in Breña Baja, and runs along its seaside promenades. The route crosses between the two municipalities by Avenida Bajamar, the only coastal stretch of Breña Alta, so the course touches three municipalities.

Practical details (2026)

• Start: 10:30 on Avenida Marítima.
• Distances: 21 km, 10K and 5K.
• Registration: from 31 October 2025 to 20 January 2026, on Avaibook.
• Organiser: Fitters, with the three councils.
